This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to these practices.

1. Who This Policy Covers

Users: Individuals/entities browsing, posting, buying or selling properties.
Agents: Individuals/entities assigned to broker/market properties.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

Account details: name, phone number, email, password/OTP.
Profile info: optional profile photo or business details you add.
Property & listing data: descriptions, photos/videos, documents, pricing, location/address.
Communications: messages, inquiries, feedback, support requests.
Payments/billing: transaction IDs and payment status (processed via PhonePe or other gateways; we do not store full card data).

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device & log info: IP address, device identifiers, OS/browser type, app version, timestamps.
Usage data: screens/pages viewed, clicks/taps, search queries.
Location data: approximate/precise location if you allow it (to show nearby listings or verify property locations).
Cookies and similar technologies on the web version (see Section 7).

2.3 Information from Third Parties

Payment processors (PhonePe): payment confirmations/failures.
Analytics/hosting providers (Firebase, Google Cloud Platform): aggregated usage metrics, crash logs.
No KYC documents are collected by us at this time.

3. How We Use Your Information

Create and manage your account and profile.
Display relevant property feeds; enable posting and managing listings.
Assign properties to Agents and facilitate communication between Users and Agents.
Process payments and issue invoices/receipts.
Provide customer support and resolve disputes.
Improve, personalize, and analyze Platform performance and features (using Firebase/GCP analytics).
Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal Bases (Where Applicable)

We rely on one or more of the following: your consent, performance of a contract (our Terms), compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests (e.g., improving the Platform, preventing fraud).

5. How We Share Information

Other Users/Agents: As needed to complete transactions or provide brokerage services (e.g., contact info, listing details you choose to share).
Service providers: Firebase/GCP (hosting, DB, analytics), PhonePe (payments), SMS/OTP/email providers—strictly to operate our Platform.
Authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property of LANDANDPLOT or others.
Business transfers: In mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring, your data may be transferred.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration.

6. Data Storage, Security & Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your data. No method is 100% secure.
Retention: We keep data as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure for legal/compliance purposes.

7. Cookies & Similar Technologies (Web)

We use essential cookies only to operate the site (e.g., session management, security).
You can block cookies in your browser, but essential features may stop working.

8. Your Rights & Choices

You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to withdraw consent or object to certain processing (subject to local law).
To exercise rights, email admin@landandplot.com. We may need to verify your identity.
You can update certain info in-app, revoke location permissions in device settings, and opt out of marketing via unsubscribe links/settings.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than where you reside (e.g., Firebase/GCP servers). Such countries may have different data protection laws. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified (e.g., via in‑app notice or email). The “Effective Date” shows the latest revision.
